On the Sunday the 18th of September 2016 Future Blend employees and their families participated in a very successful sponsored walk through the Oxfordshire countryside. Following this walk we then indulged in a superb picnic of international cuisine supplied by all the team.

We raised a goodly sum of £447 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

A big thank you to everyone who supported us in raising these funds for such a great cause.

UK Transport Minister visits Future Blends

Baroness Kramer, UK's Minister for Transport, visited Future Blends in December in order to hold discussions with management and be shown around the facilities, including the pilot plant and bench scale rigs and the laboratories. During her visit Baroness Kramer also unveiled a £25 million competition to support businesses planning to develop demonstration scale plants for advanced biofuels.

Baroness Kramer said: 'Over a fifth of UK carbon emissions come from transport. That’s why it’s crucial that we develop sustainable low-carbon fuels so that we can keep Britain moving while meeting our emissions targets. Britain has a wealth of expertise in this field and is home to many innovative companies like the one I'm visiting today. We are asking for evidence on what this high-tech sector can do to decarbonise transport and create new, green jobs.'

The Minister and her party were welcomed by the CEO of Future Blends, Nick Brooks, along with senior representatives of the Carbon Trust and the management of Future Blends.
